Life ,people say, is a great leveller. Through events and happenings, it mellows people and tempers them into the desired hardness! What do you say when Life (or is it Death?) suddenly without warning, snatches away a person in the prime of his /her life? A person who planned and prepared for a brilliant career and who was just climbing the first rungs in the ladder of success. No I am not talking about personal tragedies that happens in every one's lives. It is just that the hollowness and emptiness of life itself that has struck me of late. The sudden disappearance of person into the darkness of death, when he/she was in the midst of his/her youth with plenty of responsibilities to shoulder and miles and miles to go for his/her goals. An accident, an Aneurysm-induced Cerebral Haemorrhage, a massive cardiac arrest or a man-made disaster-whatever be it that snatches away and snuffs out the flame of life, I am just talking about the crushing impact and the excruciating pain that it leaves behind.
But look at people living life. Gregarious, not a care in the world. No worries here about the day next or even the moment next. All this while people young and old vanish like nine-pins. May be it is indifference that help people to overcome the grim tragedies around them. You can call it Hope or Faith. But if you wake up at the unearthly wee hours of the night and start to think about the unthinkable, you break out in cold sweat-no matter how secure you felt throughout the day and how uncaring you are about death.
The single effective tool that Life uses to teach you, is Death! Life is a great teacher but it teaches about you death so that you can live.
Life and Death -the two distinct shades of Life itself. One cannot exist without the other.
It is always pays to be a little philosophical. Because, as the great bard said, you are here this instant and gone the next! Don't listen to the Bell. Could be that it tolls for you!
Think about death sometimes if you want live !
